Sophie Calle, Stalker

As I am interested in the idea of voyeurism and photographing people without their knowledge, I’ve been looking at Sophie Calle’s work, particularly a set of work she created where she “stalked” random people, For months Calle followed strangers in the street. She, in her own words, “photographed them without their knowledge, took note of their movements, then finally lost sight of them and forgot them”. These photographs relate greatly to the work I have been doing on voyeurism and art where the subject doesn’t know they’re being watched.
